In this unprecedented time we are living in and with the passage of the CARES Act that provided enhanced Pandemic Unemployment Assistance, we are seeing a massive uptick in the number of fraudulent unemployment claims. On 5/26/2020 The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) issued an advisory due to the amount of fraud in Oklahoma. The investigation is widespread and extends outside the border of Oklahoma.
If you receive any correspondence regarding an unemployment claim that you believe is fraudulent, you can stop the payment by emailing the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission at fraud@oesc.state.ok.us. To have your case included in the OSBI investigation, you need to complete the form on the Attorney General’s web site at www.oag.ok.gov/coronavirus-fraud-resources.
